- Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital

The  Government of Ekiti State in Nigeria retained the International Finance Corporation (IFC) to provide advisory support towards establishing a Diagnostic Centre of Excellence at Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital on the basis of a Public-Private Partnership (PPP). IFC contracted AMPC, in consortium with PharmAccess Foundation, as technical consultants to this project. A health needs, supply and demand assessment was undertaken to appraise the market for public and private health services in Ekiti State. Based on the results, the functional programme of the Diagnostic Centre was determined as well as a business strategy. Subsequently several proposals for the transaction structure were developed, including the proposed operational and  PPP models of the centre, the financial structure of the PPP scheme and financial modelling and analysis. Once the final transaction structure was approved, tender documents were developed and in 2014 a tender was launched by the Government of Ekiti State to select a private partner for project implementation.
