- University Hospital of Caracas

In 2008, AMPC conducted a technical and economic study for the Venezuelan Ministry of Health: the feasibility and design for upgrading the surgical complex and adjacent services of Caracas University Hospital (HUC). The project’s main objective was the centralisation of critical services (complex surgical and adjacent services) in accordance with state-of-the-art architectural design. Additionally, a proposal was created for the upgrade of medical equipment and maintenance support, plus a technical assistance program for institutional strengthening. AMPC’s core tasks included the study of needs in the health sector in general and of HUC in particular, the functional redesign of critical areas and the architectural redesign of the interior of the fifth and sixth floors. Additionally, AMPC developed a comprehensive equipment planning, including a room book, Bills of Quantities and technical specifications. Lastly, AMPC developed a plan for training and technical assistance and conducted a financial analysis of the project.
