The government of Uganda aims to rehabilitate and upgrade the 900-beds Mulago National Referral Hospital. AMPC, in cooperation with its Ugandan partners, carried out the review of the design for the complete rehabilitation plan, the delivery of detailed designs for selected departments, the provision of procurement support, and provides supervision during the rehabilitation and subsequent liability period. AMPC’s responsibilities included the overall management of the consortium and subcontractors, and the official reporting to the MOH. Furthermore, AMPC reviewed the existing project design for remodelling of the Lower Mulago complex, including architectural design and equipment planning, and proposed modifications if needed to improve the functionality of the facility.
