- Procurement support to upgrade 37 public hospitals

The Tanzanian government developed a project to upgrade 37 public hospitals throughout the country. AMPC had previously developed the project’s master plan and was subsequently requested by the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare (MOHSW) of Tanzania to assist in the procurement process for the ORIO funded project for the rehabilitation of maternal and diagnostic facilities in 2013. AMPC’s assignment started in the second phase of the procurement process: the technical tender assistance. As such, AMPC’s tasks included the elaboration of the procurement plan, as well as the preparation of (pre-)qualification documents and the Request for Quotation (RFQ) documentation. Furthermore, AMPC evaluated the bids and summarised the tender process in bid evaluation reports. Thereafter, AMPC assisted in the contract negotiations and in the finalisation of the contract activities in the contract documents.
