- NSIA-LUTH Cancer Treatment Centre

The Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority (NSIA) partnered with the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) to establish an advanced cancer centre equipped with state-of-the-art equipment to treat patients diagnosed with cancer. The centre, opened in 2019, is privately operated and provides both radiation therapy and chemotherapy. AMPC was selected by the NSIA as project manager to provide technical advice and project management services during the construction of the new facility. Upon opening of the centre, NSIA subsequently contracted AMPC to act as the supervisor of operations during the initial phase of operations. The supervisory services provided by AMPC included assessment of the private operator’s compliance with the terms of the Operations Agreement, including deliverables, KPIs, and impact metrics, a comprehensive risk review and analysis using Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) methodology, and the review and development of new clinical and non-clinical protocols. AMPC also redesigned the management structure of the centre, provided assistance with recruitment, and developed a training proposal for the medical physicist department, in order to further strengthen the HR capacity of the centre.
