- NDDC hospital Delta State

The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) envisioned the construction and operation of a new hospital located in Asaba. To this end, NDDC contracted AMPC in 2015 for the development of the functional and conceptual architectural design of the NDDC Concept Hospital. Firstly, AMPC conducted a market assessment, including a review of the local health needs and demands in Nigeria in general and Delta State in particular. Thereafter, AMPC developed the functional capacity planning and space requirements for the facility, including the definition of the scope of services to be provided at the hospital. These data provided the main input for the conceptual design that followed, which included a master plan, a phasing strategy and 3D impressions of the facility. Additionally, AMPC developed the engineering Terms of Reference at room level and an overview of the CME requirements for the main medical equipment. The final element of the assignment included the development of a preliminary equipment planning and budgets for (non)medical equipment and furniture for the hospital.
