The Ministry of Health of Nicaragua intends to replace the Nuevo Amanecer Hospital in the Northern Atlantic Autonomous Region by a completely new 150-beds regional hospital, with financing from the Central American Bank for Economic Integration. AMPC was requested to determine the feasibility of the project. A market study and an environmental impact assessment were carried out, and a functional plan was developed and translated into a detailed architectural and engineering design and an equipment planning. Financial modelling was undertaken to facilitate the investment decision and a procurement strategy was designed, including development of the necessary tender documents for turnkey contracting of construction and equipping.
