Sao San Htun Hospital was built in 1961 and no major renovations or equipment upgrades took place since then. The United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) contracted AMPC to explore the need for expansion and the possibilities of renovation of the hospital, and to perform a feasibility study for the ensuing project. The assignment includes a health needs and healthcare supply and demand assessment in the hospital's catchment area; a technical assessment of the current state of the infrastructure and equipment; a conceptual design for the expansion of the hospital; a medical equipment planning; and an assessment of training needs. Furthermore, AMPC will advise on the steps to be taken to secure funding for the project and to achieve successful implementation.
