- Social, environmental and technical studies for two general hospitals

Over the period 2010-2013, AMPC supported the Ministry of Health of Mozambique (MISAU) with the development of a feasibility study for the establishment of two new hospitals in Sofala Province: Beira General Hospital and Marromeu District Hospital. Thereafter, several additional studies were to be carried out to be able to better assess the social and environmental impacts of the two projects, and to inform the detailed design. AMPC was hired to perform these additional studies. Topographical and hydrological studies were carried out on both hospital plots and full Environmental Impact Studies were carried out in line with World Bank's OP 4.01. Also, a Resettlement Action Plan was developed for the Beira General Hospital project.
