After being involved as the Trade and Development Bank (TDB)’s LTA for the establishment of a 106-bed tertiary multi-specialty hospital in Kiambu county, AMPC was asked to provide assistance to the Ubora Group Limited in the development and implementation of the facility in 2015. AMPC’s tasks included advising the Board on the selection of an operating partner, engineering procurement and construction models. In its role as advisor, AMPC conducted various project management activities. AMPC evaluated proposals and bids, shortlisted potential candidates and managed the quality control. Furthermore, AMPC was involved in the contract negotiations and advising the Board on finetuning the medical functional plan as well as the financial and HR models and advising on the construction supervision contracts. From a technical perspective, AMPC developed a complete room book for the equipment of the facility and managed the interface between construction and equipment installation.
