- Project proposal cervical cancer screening Kenya

Philips Healthcare in cooperation with the Kenyan Ministry of Health initiated a project focussed on introducing cervical cancer screening, diagnosis and treatment within selected project sites in Kenya, utilising innovative telemedicine technology. Philips Healthcare commissioned AMPC to assist in the development phase of the project. In 2013 AMPC participated in meetings and site visits with key stakeholders to develop a shared vision on the project. AMPC subsequently analysed the collected data and combined them with the best practice guidelines on cervical cancer screening and relevant experience from comparable projects. This led to the development of a comprehensive project proposal for the introduction of cervical cancer screening in selected project sites and for securing funding for project implementation. The project proposal included equipment planning, human resources requirements, expenditure and revenue predictions, expected economic impact and monitoring and evaluation requirements.
