- Feasibility study Korle Bu

Korle Bu Teaching Hospital (KBTH) in Accra envisioned improving its emergency services and requested AMPC to develop a feasibility study for the establishment of a new Trauma and Acute Care Centre. AMPC started the assignment with a baseline study, including a detailed assessment of the existing KBTH buildings, installations, and equipment. Through in-depth discussions with local stakeholders, the requirements of all concerned KBTH departments in relation to the new trauma centre’s functions and capacity were defined. The resulting functional programme was translated into a preliminary architectural design for the new facility. Also, budget estimates were made for construction and equipping, and an investment plan was developed. In 2010, the project was approved for financing by the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development.
