- Addis Children’s Hospital

The Ethiopian Federal Ministry of Health, in partnership with ELMA Philanthropies, is planning the development of a new paediatric tertiary hospital in Addis Ababa. The new hospital would be linked to the Black Lion Hospital, the country’s largest public hospital, and would serve as a specialist paediatric referral hospital for the entire country as well as a training centre for paediatric doctors, specialists and nurses. AMPC was contracted to develop a project proposal and preliminary design for the new Addis Children’s Hospital. This entailed the execution of a market study and the definition of a functional programme for the hospital, a conceptual design and equipment planning, the development of an organisational structure for the hospital and a human resource planning, and financial modelling to determine financial feasibility of the project.
