The Khmer-Soviet Friendship Hospital (KSFH) is located in Phnom Penh and is one of the leading national hospitals of Cambodia. As the hospital has been operational for almost 60 years, some of its facilities required modernisation and renovation works. In 2018, UNOPS contracted AMPC to conduct a feasibility study that analysed and advised on the medical and functional needs of the hospital, the hospital’s infrastructure and the availability and requirements for equipment. The project’s objective was aimed at supporting the management of the KSFH and national authorities in the planning and coordination of the hospital’s future scope of services to ensure equal access to improved quality of care for all population groups. The study resulted in a Master Plan giving direction to the required renovations and extensions of the KSFH.
