Angola

- Market study Luanda

One of Angola’s private healthcare providers, the Clínica Sagrada Esperança in Luanda, planned the extension of its services and asked Simed International, partially funded through the 2Xplore programme of the Dutch government, to assist in developing a sound business plan to attract international financiers. In 2010, Simed International subcontracted AMPC to conduct the market study and prepare the financial analyses and projections for this project. As such, AMPC visited the hospital to assess the actual situation of the facility, its services and its staff by conducting interviews with the hospital’s management team, clinical staff and some of its major clients. Thereafter, an assessment of the local health situation and the local market were conducted, followed by a financial and risk assessment for the project. Based on all the information gathered, a strategic plan, financial projections and a financing plan were developed for the extension of the Clínica Sagrada Esperança.
