Once AMPC had designed a Master Plan for the Kassala Health Citadel in Kassala, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) declared their intent of financing the 150-beds Paediatric Unit and requested AMPC to make the project ready for procurement and implementation. Working together with JFA Engineering, AMPC developed full detailed designs for architecture, structural engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, plumbing engineering, ICT, medical gas network and life and fire safety. The deliverables include design briefs, drawings, calculations, technical specifications and Bills of Quantities to be included in the technical documentation of the tender to be launched to select a construction contractor. Construction works on the Paediatric Unit are expected to commence in 2021.
