AMPC was selected by the Eastern and Southern African Trade and Development Bank (PTA Bank) to carry out a due diligence study for the establishment of IV fluid plant in Mwanza, Tanzania. The goal of the study was to review the technical, operational and commercial aspects of the project and to advise the PTA Bank on the completeness and appropriateness of the arrangements proposed and the financial projections developed. A due diligence framework was designed, and based on a review of project documentation, site visits, and stakeholder consultations, all relevant aspects were scored based on the availability of information as well as its quality, and the level of risk the absence or incompleteness of information presented for the decision-making process. Finally, recommendations were made to improve the project and increase its chances of success.
