Kenya

PharmAccess brought together a group of organizations including the Ministry of Health of Kenya, Strathmore Business School, the International Finance Corporation, the Medical Credit Fund and AMPC, to support Small and Medium Enterprises in the Kenyan healthcare sector to improve their clinical and business performance. Within the Healthy Business Development Programme, AMPC provided different capacity building services. As part of Strathmore Business School’s Managing Healthcare Businesses programme, AMPC trained managers of healthcare facilities on the basic steps of healthcare facility development, either when planning the expansion of an existing facility or when considering the establishment of a new hospital or clinic, and on the importance of effective facilities management. Furthermore, AMPC provided individual advisory services to the Medical Credit Fund's business advisors as well as to clients who had requested or had been awarded a MCF loan to expand their ongoing business.
