- Addis Children’s Hospital

After completion of a feasibility study for the establishment of Addis Children’s Hospital, AMPC was contracted to translate the conceptual design into a preliminary design. With the input of technical working groups from the FMOH representing different departments and specialties, e.g. Intensive Care or Laboratory, the conceptual floor plans were further detailed ensuring efficiency and appropriateness of the design. Also, a room-to-room equipment planning was developed together with these working groups, leading to a Bill of Quantities for medical and non-medical equipment and furniture. Based on the architectural plans, and taking into account the pre-installation and engineering requirements of the proposed equipment, AMPC developed the preliminary structural, electrical, and mechanical engineering designs for this new tertiary paediatric referral and teaching hospital.
